Meet John Mayfield
I've spent nearly five decades in real estate as a broker, an instructor and a coach. I learned the business from my mom, Pat Mayfield, who was my mentor and my friend, and I eventually took over her office, Mayfield Real Estate in Farmington, Missouri. Along the way I founded Global Real Estate School, wrote Five Minutes to Smarter Marketing Ideas and 101 Real Estate Prompts, served as the 2022 Missouri REALTORS® State President, and was named the 2026 Missouri REALTORS® State REALTOR® of the Year.
After years of teaching, I've learned that people don't need more information. They need a little the right way, every day. That's why I started 5-Minutes: short, practical lessons you can finish on a coffee break, whether you're growing a business, launching an idea, building your faith, or learning something just for the joy of it.
Two of my courses are personal. Mom loved bridge and played online almost every night after she retired, with friends all over the world, so Your Seat at the Table is dedicated to her. And my wife, Kerry, is the reason I fell for American Mahjong, which is how Crak, Bam, Dot! came to be.
